Will Serve in Role of Director of Content and Communications
USA Gymnastics has announced that Scott Bregman has been promoted to director of content and communications. Bregman, who joined USA Gymnastics in 2011, will be responsible for USA Gymnastics two magazines and official publications, content for the website and social media, and manage the photo library. He will also assist with “USA Gymnastics: Behind the Team sponsored by AT&T,” as well as media and public relations and webcasts.
“Scott has done an excellent job in building our social media efforts and creating the strategies that have resulted in continually increasing our followers,” said Steve Penny, president of USA Gymnastics. “Scott has a great understanding of our sport, fans and members, and I know he will do an excellent job in developing and managing the content for our publications, website and social platforms.”
Bregman joined USA Gymnastics as the social media coordinator and then was promoted to manager of social media and communications. His efforts have increased USA Gymnastics social media presence to all-time highs and included fan-involvement initiatives. Bregman has also written for both magazines and the website, as well as assisted with media relations and press operations.
Bregman is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he was a member of the gymnastics team. His undergraduate degree is in English, and he has completed graduate course work in digital media at New York University.
