Eau Claire Ready for 129th Annual Silver Mine Invitational

The Eau Claire Ski Club is happy to present the 129th annual Silver Mine Invitational Ski Jumping Tournament and fourth annual Pond Hockey Classic on Jan. 16-17, 2015.

Come out and watch jumpers from around the world try to conquer Silver Mine Hill.  Friday is Touchstone Energy Night with the U.S. Cup Ski Jumping and hockey starting at 7 p.m., followed by music from M3 Sound, Lighting and Staging.  Saturday is Gordy’s County Market Family Fun Day, featuring the Xcel Energy Long Standing Jump Competition.  Gates open for hockey at 9 a.m., with competition starting at 10 a.m.

Ski jumping will start this year at 5 p.m. Saturday, with live music from Bear Creek Band starting at 3:30 p.m.  Keep warm by the bonfires or in the WEAU Hospitality tent.  And of course, you can always stop by and visit Dooley’s at the Hill for happy hour from 3-5 pm!  There will also be the Hall of Fame presentation after the awards ceremony Saturday night.

Advance admission is $10, $15 day of at the gate, while children 12 and under will be allowed in for free.  Get your advance buttons at: Bridge Stop Convenience stores, Eau Claire Energy Cooperative, Dooley’s Pub, Ray’s Place, Spring Street Sports, Visit Eau Claire, Prestige Auto and all Gordy’s County Market locations.
