Visit Eau Claire has announced that the Eau Claire Flying Eagles Ski Club will host their Annual Invitational Tournament on Sunday, February 16 at the Mount Washington Ski Complex.  The event will feature over 100 youth ski jumpers and 1,000 spectators from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and Michigan.

The hills open for training and registration at 9:00am on Sunday.  Registration closes at 11:00am, and tournament competition is scheduled to begin at noon after an opening ceremony.  A Nordic combined race will be held immediately following the ski jumping in the afternoon, with awards to follow.

This is the oldest continuous ski jumping club in the United States, and the Flying Eagles Invitational has been held for over 130 years.  Mt. Washington Ski Complex features four hills (40, 30, 15, and 7 meters) and a warming house.  Concessions will be available and there is no cost for admission.

The estimated economic impact to the Eau Claire area from this event is $54,000.
