Northern Wisconsin Clay Target Conference Invitational will be at Eau Claire Rod & Gun Club

The first Northern Wisconsin Clay Target Conference Invitational Shoot, hosted by the Hudson Raiders and Rice Lake Warbirds Shooting Clubs, will take place at the Eau Claire Rod & Gun Club on May 3-4.  Many of the state’s top shooters and defending national champion teams are entered in this event.

The event is a 100-target American Trap event and is open to Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) youth shooting teams.  Shooting will start for the over 600 expected athletes on Saturday at 8 a.m., and run through 7 p.m.  Sunday’s shooting will run from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m., followed by an awards program scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

Team awards for the Northern Wisconsin Invitational are funded by the SCTP Foundation and are as follows: First place ($8,000), second place ($6,000), third place ($4,000), fourth place ($3,000) and fifth place ($2,000).  There will also be individual awards for the top overall scoring male and female, the top five varsity, junior varsity, intermediate advanced, intermediate beginner and rookie scorers.

Along with the competition, several industry representatives will be present at the shoot on both Saturday and Sunday including SCTP National Program Director, Tom Wondrash.  There will also be food, door prizes, raffles and other prizes given away throughout the event.
