The Minnesota MG Group, along with Eau Claire British Car, Evening Lions Club of Eau Claire, and Visit Eau Claire, present the 2014 Rally in the Valley Classic British Car Show, Saturday, May 31 in Carson Park.  The Car show will feature a wide variety of classic European cars, including MG, Austin Healy, Triumph, Jaguar, and the Classic Mini.

Over 50 cars will be on display from 11:00am – 1:00pm.  A "Funkahna", a special type of skilled driving competition, will be held from 1:00pm – 3:30pm, and the public is welcome to stay and enjoy the event, but only event-registered cars are eligible to participate.

Admission to the car show is free and concessions are available from the Eau Claire Lions Club.  Cars will be judged by the public with charity voting – a way to raise money for two local charities: Feed My People and Boulton Refuge House.

The car show is just a part of Rally in the Valley – a four-day event held throughout the Chippewa Valley that features over 50 cars and 100 participants from around the Midwest.  The event will generate an estimated $81,000 in economic impact for the Eau Claire Area and runs from Thursday, May 29th through Sunday, June 1st.

Visit Eau Claire is sending out this press release as a service to Minnesota MG Group and Rally in the Valley.  Visit Eau Claire effectively markets the Eau Claire area as a destination for conventions, group tour, sporting events, and leisure markets; to promote regional economic growth; to enhance the area’s overall identity and image; to sell fun, promote fun, and most importantly – Have FUN!
