The Eau Claire Ski Club is happy to present the 130th annual Silver Mine Invitational Ski Jumping Tournament and FIS Cup event on February 12-13, 2016.

Come out and watch jumpers from around the world try to conquer Silver Mine Hill.  Friday is Touchstone Energy Night with the Open Tournament starting at 4 p.m., and the FIS & US Cup events starting at 7 p.m., followed by music by the Big Deeks.  Saturday is Gordy’s Market Family Fun Day, featuring the Xcel Energy Long Standing Jump Competition.  Gates open at noon.

Ski jumping will start this year at 3 p.m. Saturday, with the open event and the FIS Cup/Five Hills competition will begin at 6 p.m.  Keep warm by the bonfires or in the WEAU Hospitality tent, and you can also stop by and visit Dooley’s at the Hill for happy hour from 3-5 pm!

To help support and celebrate Eau Claire’s history of ski jumping, the event is receiving a $7,500 Ready, Set, Go! grant from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism with thanks to Visit Eau Claire. A grant presentation will take place Friday at 6 p.m. The grant will go towards facility expenses and creating a high-quality competition atmosphere to establish Eau Claire as a future events destination. Media is welcome to attend the event.

Advance admission is $10, $15 day of event at the gate, while children 12 and under will be allowed in for free.  Get your advance buttons at: Menard’s stores, Eau Claire Energy Cooperative, Dooley’s Pub, Ray’s Place, Spring Street Sports, Visit Eau Claire, Prestige Auto and Gordy’s Market locations.
