J&A Racing Announces Inaugural Labor Day Race, The Chartway Virginia Beach 10 Miler & 5K

Excitement and preparations are underway for the newest of J&A Racing’s events. The Chartway Virginia Beach 10 Miler will debut this Labor Day weekend at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. Participants will have the opportunity to run a 5K on Saturday, 10 Miler on Sunday, or the option to do both races with the Live the Life Challenge. The weekend run will also be held in conjunction with the Live the Life Concert Series from Beach Events.

Virginia Beach is expecting thousands of runners, their supporters, and spectators to make their way to the coastal resort area to close out summer with a new highly anticipated run. While the Chartway Virginia Beach 10 Miler is a great way to close out the summer, it’s also the start of J&A Racing’s busy fall events. Race Director Jerry Frostick agrees saying, “We are thrilled to add this new branded road race to our schedule with the ongoing support of the City of Virginia Beach and Chartway Credit Union. It’s their support that sets the pace for the next great running event in Virginia Beach for both locals and visitors alike.”

J&A Racing has partnered with Chartway Credit Union as the title sponsor for the new 10 Miler event. “Chartway is all about taking care of our members, communities, and each other. Being headquartered in Virginia Beach, when the opportunity arose to partner again with our great friends at J&A and the City of Virginia Beach to support one of our many communities with such an impactful event, we realized it was a perfect fit. Each race route will take the participants through a scenic and waterfront tour of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront on a fast and flat course that is ideal for runners and participants of all athletic ability. It wouldn’t be a J&A Racing event without the usual one-of-a-kind post-race celebration. Details on the course route and after party will be forthcoming in the next few months, but past participants of J&A Racing events can expect an out of this world experience regardless.

The Virginia Beach 10 Miler takes place September 2-3, 2023, at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront. The race is limited to 7,500 participants.
