The first-ever Fat Bike national titles are set to be awarded this weekend as the inaugural USA Cycling Fat Bike National Championships take place at the Powder Mountain Resort in Ogden, Utah on Saturday.

Sixteen Stars-and-Stripes jerseys will be up for grabs at the Valentine's Day race. Amateurs will kick things off, leaving the start area in waves for two laps, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The men's singlespeed group will be the first to toe the line, followed by men's age groups, women's singlespeed, and women's age groups. Then at 1:00, the men's and women's pro/open categories will take center stage for three laps of the Powder Mountain course.

Participants and spectators alike will be able to enjoy the race atmosphere which will be complete with hot brews from The Daily Rise, a tent village, and a top-shelf view of the course from Powder Mountain's Hidden Lake. Borealis and local bike shops will provide bike demos for those looking for a new adventure and Sierra Nevada will be available to all over the age of 21. As if that isn't enough, attendees will have the chance to win a free fat bike.
