Reported sell-out for inaugural IRONMAN 70.3 Dallas-Little Elm triathlon

According to The IRONMAN Group, the IRONMAN 70.3 Dallas–Little Elm triathlon has sold out its inaugural event in 2026, becoming… ‘one of the fastest sellouts in North America for the season.’

The event, scheduled to debut on Sunday, March 15, 2026, is expected to see over 2,700 athletes take on the race just outside of Dallas, in Little Elm, TX.

Todd Fitzgerald, Regional Director – Southeast Operations for IRONMAN said “The overwhelming demand for the IRONMAN 70.3 Dallas–Little Elm triathlon is a testament to the excitement surrounding building for this new race.

“We’re eager to bring the IRONMAN experience here and highlight everything that makes Little Elm such a special destination. From the welcoming community to the scenic lakeside backdrop, we know this will be an unforgettable event for athletes and spectators alike.”

The race will kick off with a 1.2-mile swim in Lake Lewisville, with both the start and finish on Little Elm Beach. The 56-mile bike course heads north of Little Elm, and highlights rural roads. The 13.1-mile run course takes athletes along the Little Elm nature trail system.
