USA BMX, the Harris County Houston Sports Authority and the N. Houston Development Corp. are excited to announce the grand opening of the North Houston Bike Park on August 16, 2019. Home of the 2019 USA BMX Lone Star Nationals and the 2020 UCI BMX World Championships, the North Houston Bike Park is an expansive 20-acre, $26 million park located at the intersection of Interstate 45 and Kuykendahl Road.
Complete with a world-class BMX racing track, North Houston Bike Park features both an Olympic and amateur sized starting hill and a VIP viewing deck overlooking turn two.
The North Houston Bike Park grand opening will feature an Opening Ceremony on Friday, August 16 at 2:00pm before the beginning of an open practice session in anticipation for a Texas State Championship Race on Saturday, August 17.
Saturday night will also feature a Men's Pro-Am and a Women's Pro-Am each with a $7,500 purse available to all expert and pro riders 15 years of age and older. See complete practice and race schedule below.
