Abilene to Host XTREME Fast Draw Association’s Texas State Shoot in 2026

The Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), an affiliate of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to announce that the XTREME Fast Draw Association’s Texas State Shoot will be held in Abilene, April 24 – 26, 2026.

The XTREME Fast Draw Association (XFDA) is dedicated to promoting the sport of Fast Draw. Members of the XFDA share a common passion for preserving the history of the Old West and competitive shooting in a safe, fun, family friendly environment. As the home for beginners as well as expert Fast draw competitors the XFDA provides the experience shooters need to develop their skill in a welcoming environment.

With hundreds of guests coming in from out of town, this event brings a shot of energy to our local economy and gives visitors a chance to experience the spirit of Abilene. It’s a fun, unique event, and we’re proud to be the host city," said Robert Lopez, vice president of the Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The 2026 Texas State Shoot is anticipated to generate approximately 385 hotel room nights and an estimated $123,750 in economic impact for local businesses. Key events will be hosted at Frontier Texas.
