The Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), an affiliate of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to announce that the Abilene Independent School District West Texas Invitational Soccer Tournament will be held in Abilene, January 2-4, 2026.
The Abilene ISD 2026 West Texas Invitational Soccer Tournament provides student athletes with the opportunity to showcase their skills against fellow competitors from around the state. Over three days, teams will battle it out on the field, with the tournament culminating in a championship match on Sunday, January 4.
"The West Texas Invitational is a fantastic opportunity to showcase both the talent of young athletes and the hospitality of our community. We’re proud to partner with Abilene ISD to host this tournament, which not only creates memorable experiences for players and fans but also delivers a positive economic impact for local businesses,” said Robert Lopez, Vice President, Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The Abilene ISD West Texas Invitational Soccer Tournament is anticipated to generate 135 hotel room nights and an estimated $94,770 in economic impact to local businesses. Key events will be hosted at Abilene High School.
