The Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), an affiliate of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to announce that the Abilene Independent School District 2025 Raising Cane’s Key City Classic will take place in Abilene, December 4-6, 2025.
The Abilene ISD 2025 Raising Cane’s Key City Classic is an annual invitational basketball tournament designed to bring together teams from across the state for three days of spirited competition in a welcoming atmosphere. Fans can look forward to multiple games each day culminating in a championship match on Saturday, December 6.
"The Raising Cane’s Key City Classic has become a tradition that not only highlights the incredible talent of high school athletes but also showcases the strong community spirit of Abilene. We are proud to partner with Abilene ISD to welcome teams and fans from across the state, knowing this tournament generates a significant economic impact while providing memorable experiences for visitors and locals,” said Robert Lopez, Vice President, Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau.
The Abilene ISD 2025 Raising Cane’s Key City classic is anticipated to generate 340 hotel room nights and an estimated $140,400 in economic impact for local businesses. Key events will be hosted at the Cooper High School gym and Abilene High School gym.
