he Abilene Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), an affiliate of the Abilene Chamber of Commerce, is thrilled to announce that the Cushman Club of America National Meet will be held in Abilene, June 14 - 19, 2026.
The Cushman Club of America is a national organization with thousands of members dedicated to the restoration, preservation, and enjoyment of Cushman motor scooters. Manufactured in Lincoln, Nebraska, from 1936 to 1965, Cushman scooters provided affordable transportation during the Great Depression and World War II.
Many enthusiasts fondly remember using these iconic scooters for newspaper delivery routes and everyday transportation during that era. Throughout the event, visitors will have the opportunity to view historic scooters on display, purchase scooters and parts, and watch members enjoy daily rides, with exhibits and sales located in the Round Building.

We are proud to showcase Abilene’s hospitality, our excellent facilities at the Taylor County Expo Center, and the authentic experiences that make our community such a memorable destination.”
The Cushman Club of America National Meet is anticipated to generate 482 hotel room nights with an estimated economic impact of $163,500. Key events will be hosted at the Expo Center of Taylor County.
