Corpus Christi Athletic Club (CCAC) is proud to announce Matthew Westmoreland as its new General Manager. A proven leader in racquet sports and club operations, Westmoreland brings extensive experience in program development, facility management, and member engagement to the next chapter of CCAC’s growth.
Westmoreland joined CCAC in 2019 as Director of Racquets, where he elevated the Club’s programs into one of the premier racquet offerings in South Texas. During his tenure, he spearheaded the launch of the state-of-the-art 20,000 square foot indoor pickleball facility, expanded tennis programming, and successfully managed million-dollar operations across facilities, programming, and retail.
A native of Pearl City, Hawaii, Westmoreland played Division I tennis at Texas A&M–Corpus Christi, where he went on to earn a Master of Business Administration degree to strengthen his expertise in finance, business strategy, and leadership.
“I am honored to step into the role of General Manager,” said Westmoreland. “My vision is to create world-class club experiences where members feel energized, connected, and the sense of community that makes this Club so special. By focusing on innovation, team development, and sustainable growth, I look forward to building on our tradition of excellence that inspires our staff, members, and the entire Corpus Christi community.”
Westmoreland is replacing Tom Deimler, who is relocating to California.
“We are incredibly grateful to Tom for his leadership and dedication to Corpus Christi Athletic Club,” said Sam Susser, CEO of CCAC. “Under his guidance, the Club thrived and strengthened its role as a hub for fitness and community. We’re equally excited to welcome Matthew Westmoreland as our new General Manager. His knowledge of our programs, passion for engaging members, and talent for building strong, connected teams ensure CCAC will continue to be a place where every member feels energized, supported, and inspired.”
As General Manager, Westmoreland will oversee all aspects of CCAC’s leadership and will continue to build on CCAC’s long-standing reputation as a hub for fitness, wellness, and community connection.
