The Johnson City Convention and Visitors Bureau is excited to welcome the United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship (USWDGC) to town this weekend. More than 150 athletes from 5 countries will be represented, which makes this the largest women’s only disc event ever hosted. In addition, this event will have the largest prize purse to date. The USWDGC will be held at three area courses: Winged Deer Park, Pine Oaks Golf Course and Harmon Hills. Harmon Hills is currently ranked #1 Disc Golf Course in the state of Tennessee by dgcoursereview.com and was ranked #1 in the country in 2016.
In addition to championship play, this event features unique community experiences including a downtown putting contest and urban skins game at Founders Park. Opening ceremonies take place Thursday, September 21st at 6:00pm
