In a small rural area, finding ways to create an economic impact can be difficult. Manufacturing is the lifeblood of many rural areas, but if a manufacturing plant that employs 200 people in a small community decides to close its doors, that makes a huge impact on the economy of that area. The ideal solution is to diversify the economic development assets of the small community. This, of course, is easier said than done.
