The 51st World Archery Championships will be held in Yankton, South Dakota in 2021. The bid was awarded at the 2019 World Archery Congress in the Netherlands.

USA Archery is proud to welcome the World Archery Championships to the United States. The NFAA Easton Yankton Archery Center has previously hosted the 2015 World Archery Youth Championships and the 2018 World Archery Indoor Championships. It will also host the 2020 World Archery Field Championships.

World Archery President Prof Dr Ugur Erdener commented: “Archery and Yankton are inextricably linked. The city has rallied around two of our previous world championships and we expect a similarly high standard of event and the same incredible community spirit in 2021. For the athletes, the audience and the atmosphere at the world championships, passion matters.”

USA Archery CEO Rod Menzer shared: “It is a great honor to have such a prestigious event in the U.S. and USA Archery looks forward to supporting the NFAA in hosting a fantastic event. Our athletes are excited about having this event on home soil and we cannot wait to cheer them on to gold.”

“On behalf of the NFAA Foundation I am very excited and honored to have been awarded the 2021 World Championship in the USA and especially Yankton, South Dakota,” commented NFAA Executive Director Bruce Cull. “This will be our biggest Tournament ever. Working in cooperation with the Easton Foundation and USA Archery we look forward to delivering first class venues, service and hospitality!”

The U.S. will also host the 2021 World Games in Birmingham, Alabama and archery fans from around the nation and the world are greatly encouraged to attend these events. Follow www.usarchery.org for updates on dates and tickets as events get closer.
