Archery event will bring elite action to Quebec

Archery Canada is happy to announce that the 2023 edition of the Canada Cup East will return to the province of Quebec for a second year in a row. L’association régionale de tir à l’arc Laval has been awarded the event and will host it in partnership with Archery Canada and the Fédération de tir à l’arc du Québec (FTAQ).

The Canada Cup is an annual Archery Canada sanctioned competition that has two editions, East and West. Laval will host this event and the city will welcome participants from Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador.

L’Association régionale de tir à l’arc Laval is the host club for the competition, which will run from June 23 to 25, 2023.

“We are very happy to receive the Canada Cup East in 2023,” says Remi Morasse, Chair of the Local Organizing Committee. “We have worked very hard with the city during the last few years to have a magnificent competition site at Level and with an event of this importance, we will make our facilities known. This will be positive for the future of archery. Thank you to Archery Canada and FTAQ for the confidence they have shown in us by granting us the organization of this event.”

“The Fédération de tir à l’arc du Québec is delighted that Archery Canada has responded positively to our bid to host the Canada Cup East,” comments Gabriela Cosovan, Technical Director of FTAQ. “We had great success in Quebec City with the first edition in June 2022 and we hope that the second edition we have been awarded will live up to everyone’s expectations. We are very happy to welcome archers from Eastern Canada and thank the Association régionale de tir à l’arc Laval for hosting the event in their facilities.”

Archery Canada looks forward to returning to Quebec, following the province's successful execution of the first ever Canada Cup East this past June.
