LPGA Symetra Tour and Valley Forge Invitational Returning in 2019

The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) welcomed the world’s top female golfers to Montgomery County May 24-26 for their inaugural Valley Forge Invitational, an LPGA Symetra Tour tournament, at Raven’s Claw Golf Club in Pottstown. The next event will be held May 28-June 2, 2019.

Thanks to local sponsors, VFTCB, and Raven’s Claw Golf Club, a $17,500 check will be presented to the Valley Forge Invitational’s title sponsor, Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation.

Three of the Pottstown Area Health & Wellness Foundation’s grantees are serving as beneficiaries of the Valley Forge Invitational including the TriCounty Community Network (TCN), which provides meaningful and sustainable partnerships to support community needs in the Greater Pottstown Area; the YWCA Tri-County Area, an organization dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering women; and the Pottstown School District, via the Foundation for Pottstown Education, partnering with the Montgomery County Community College to give young men and women the opportunity to earn college credits as high school students through its dual enrollment program.

The Valley Forge Invitational is a hole-in-one for VFTCB’s Destination Montco Golf brand, which was introduced in 2015 to build awareness for the 53 golf clubs in Montgomery County, including some of the most historic and top-ranked courses in the country.
