US Club Soccer – a prominent member of the U.S. Soccer Federation and the leading organization developing soccer clubs across America – and LaLiga, its technical partner, unveiled featured programs for the United Soccer Coaches Convention, Jan. 17-21, 2018 in Philadelphia, Pa.
US Club Soccer will host three sessions by LaLiga officials and a booth highlighted by Players First – the organization’s branded, holistic club soccer experience emphasizing the development of each individual and helping parents make better choices about where their children should play.
“We look forward to sharing our Players First philosophy and LaLiga methodology with the soccer community at the Convention,” said Kevin Payne, US Club Soccer CEO. “LaLiga Formation Methodology has directly impacted about 1,000 coaches and 350 clubs throughout the country, and the impact of our partnership will continue to grow through those coaching courses and new initiatives to come.”
On behalf of US Club Soccer, LaLiga will host the following:
Jan. 18 classroom session, 1:00-2:00 p.m. (CC 105AB) – “Player Formation and Planning Development for the Long-Term” with clinicians Gari Fullaondo, Zun Fullaondo and Hugo Blanco.

LaLiga signed a long-term technical partnership with US Club Soccer at the Players First launch event in 2015 at Nike World Headquarters. The expansive partnership provides US Club Soccer members with curriculum to enhance the daily youth soccer training environment for better development of all players and coaches. US Club Soccer will host its 10th LaLiga Coaching Methodology session Jan. 12-14 in Tulsa, Okla.
Drawing more than 6,000 coaches and 11,000-plus attendees, the United Soccer Coaches Convention is billed as the "World's Largest Annual Gathering of Soccer Coaches and Administrators."
