Slippery Rock, PA, to Host US Youth Soccer Region I Presidents Cup

US Youth Soccer is proud to announce that Slippery Rock, Pa., and the Pennsylvania West State Soccer Association will host the 2015 US Youth Soccer Region I (East) Presidents Cup, May 23-25 at Slippery Rock University, Dicks Sportsplex and North Boundary Park.

The event will feature 106 Boys and Girls teams in the Under-12 through Under-17 age groups competing for a Regional title. The US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup competitions provide a progressive, competitive experience to US Youth Soccer teams from the state to regional to national level. 

"It is always exciting to begin planning for future US Youth Soccer Presidents Cup events, and part of that initial planning is choosing the best possible host city for each of our competitions," said John Sutter, president of US Youth Soccer. “Slippery Rock was a great host for the US Youth Soccer Region I Presidents Cup in 2014 and we look forward to working together again in 2015 for an even better tournament.”

Each US Youth Soccer State Association determines the path through which its state teams advance to the regional competitions. Regional winners of the Under-13 through Under-17 Boys and Girls age groups will earn a berth to the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 9-12 in Overland Park, Kan.
