PA BASS Nation to Hold $10K Open Buddy Tournament in Erie State Tournament

The Erie Sports Commission is pleased to announce PA BASS Nation will hold a $10K Open Buddy Tournament on Lake Erie on Saturday, August 27. The event will begin at the Marina Bay Launch at 6:20 a.m. with weigh-ins in the same location at 2:30 p.m.

The winning team will receive a $10,000 prize based on a 100-boat field. Teams of two can participate in the tournament, which is open to anyone interested in participating. Entry is $300 per team with an option $10 lunker pool. The top ten teams will receive a cash prize.

All participants will have the chance to win giveaways and prizes, with one of the first 50 teams signed up randomly drawn to win a MotorGuide Trolling Motor.

Mail-in entries are being accepted until August 12. Registration will be accepted on the day of the event at Marina Bay Launch, with cash-only payments accepted.

Nation holds events in Erie frequently, because it is a haven for bass fishermen, and because we have great support from the Erie Sports Commission and Erie community,” said Ben Bilott, President of PA B.A.S.S. Nation. “With a big prize on the table, I hope to see the region’s best anglers come out to participate in masses and have a really competitive tournament.”
