Corrigan Sports Enterprises (CSE) and the Intercollegiate Men’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IMLCA) announced that its partnership to operate boys lacrosse tournaments featuring club and high school teams will commence in 2017. The IMLCA National Cup will be held at Lebanon Valley College (Annville, PA) from June 16-18, 2017. The IMLCA National Cup will integrate instructional clinics and recruiting seminars into the event, led by IMLCA member coaches from the Division I, II and III ranks.

“We are thrilled to work with CSE on the IMLCA National Cup. It is a unique opportunity for the students and their families to work very closely with college coaches,” said J. B. Clarke, President of the IMLCA and head coach at Limestone College. “With its experience, CSE already helps to set the standard for managing events in our sport. By working together, we intend to do more than just create an outstanding tournament. The IMLCA National Cup will be a platform for the most qualified voices in the sport to teach the game and prepare the next generation of players for the college experience.”

“Events like this offer a greater opportunity for college coaches to educate prospective student-athletes and parents about the recruiting process,” said Mike Murphy, Vice President of the IMLCA and head coach at the University of Pennsylvania. “By leading instructional clinics and recruiting seminars at this event we can accomplish more than simply evaluating talent on the field. The IMLCA National Cup provides a chance for college coaches to communicate directly with the players and families that represent the future of the game.”

The re-branded IMLCA National Cup was formerly known as a National Scholastic Lacrosse Club Association (NSCLA) event. “This is an established competition that provides an opportunity to build a unique event experience with the involvement of the college coaches,” said Lee Corrigan, president of CSE. “We are truly excited to be launching our partnership with the IMLCA. When players participate in the IMLCA National Cup they can be assured that the sidelines will be filled with college coaches from all levels looking for their next great player. This event will also be conducted in a first-class manner that takes into consideration the needs of college coaches, club coaches, players and parents.”

CSE is a major force in the lacrosse world as the creators and operators of the Under Armour All-America Lacrosse program, one of the sport’s premiere events. The Baltimore area sports marketing and event management firm is also the exclusive event partner of the IWLCA (Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association) and operates its annual girls club lacrosse recruiting tournaments.

Planning for the IMLCA National Cup is underway. If you would like to receive additional information or reserve a spot for your team to participate, please contact Corrigan Sports staff members Andy Bilello (ab@corrigansports.com) or Matt Cornell (matt@corrigansports.com).
