Registration is officially open for the 2020 EQT Pittsburgh 10 Miler, and runners have a lot to be excited about. The idea of celebrating the very best of Pittsburgh will be in full force for runners, whether they are running the event in person or virtually from anywhere in the world.

Pittsburgh-themed miles are back and even better than before. Runners choosing to run in-person at the event on Nov. 8 will run through Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, brush up on their Pittsburghese, take a quick break on a parking chair, and more!

For those who live elsewhere in the country or aren’t able to attend in person, P3R is ready to bring the Pittsburgh experience right to their door. All virtual participants will receive a box full of Pittsburgh and running swag worth at least $100 retail. This is the perfect way to get race day excitement while running individually.

“At P3R, we want to make sure that our runners have the best and most memorable experience possible at our events,” said CEO Troy Schooley. “Whether runners choose to join us for the live event, or plan to run from home, we will make sure that we bring the Pittsburgh spirit to them on race day.”

New this year, the Kids of STEEL program is joining the event. Children will earn the first-ever EQT Pittsburgh Kids Virtual 10 medal, as well as a mini version of the Pittsburgh goodie box after completing 10 at-home fitness activities.

“We are excited to work with Kids of STEEL to encourage families to participate with their children in this year’s event,” said Ellen Rossi, President, EQT Foundation. “Building healthy communities is central to our mission, as well as P3R’s, and this at-home challenge is a great opportunity to showcase the best of Pittsburgh to families from not only across the region, but all over the country.”

Thanks to EQT’s generosity, the event is able to offer a money-back guarantee for the first time ever. Any runner who is registered for the in-person event will have the opportunity to request a refund or switch to the virtual option if organizers are forced to turn the event completely virtual as part of the City of Pittsburgh’s efforts to slow the spread of COVID-19.
