Supertri has confirmed that its recently acquired Toronto Triathlon Festival will host the opening round of the 2025 Supertri League season on Saturday, July 26, 2025, marking the first time a Supertri League event will take place in Canada.
The event forms part of Supertri’s first year organizing the Toronto Triathlon Festival, an annual race that has been held since 2012. The pro athletes will race on Saturday, with amateur participants taking to the course on Sunday.
The addition of Supertri’s format will bring the fast-paced, team-based competition to the heart of downtown Toronto. The Supertri League, known for its short-course racing and Olympic-level athlete roster, will launch the new season in Toronto before heading to Chicago on August 23 and Toulouse on October 5. More 2025 locations are expected to be announced soon.
Supertri League events feature elite men and women competing for individual and team points, with a race format designed for broadcast appeal and crowd engagement.

The Toronto Triathlon Festival course features a 1.5K swim at Ontario Place, a 40K closed-highway bike leg, and a 10K run along Lake Shore Boulevard and the Gardiner Expressway. The 2025 edition will be the first time Supertri integrates its league race into the festival.
Toronto joins Toulouse and Chicago as one of the races announced for the 2025 Supertri League so far:
- Toronto – July 27, 2025
- Chicago – August 23, 2025
- Toulouse – October 5, 2025
Additional Supertri League 2025 race locations will be revealed in the coming weeks.
