Edmond's LibertyFest Brings Rodeo, Running, Classic Cars and More

LibertyFest in Edmond, Oklahoma is more than two weeks of Independence Day celebrations. Multiple events continue a tradition of more than 50 years in the making.

Named by CNN and USA TODAY among the nation’s top annual July Fourth festivals, Edmond’s LibertyFest 2023 is sure to entertain your family and friends.

First up, the June 23 and 24 LibertyFest Rodeo!

Start your Independence Day activities early with the all-American sport. Get excited for bull-riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, barrel racing and more starting at 8 p.m. at the Carl Benne Arena. $10 per attendee.

June 24 brings the Car Show & ParkFest

This family friendly event has 100 makes and models of cars, food trucks, a dunk tank and bounce houses to enjoy from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hafer Park.

On July 4, race in the 1-mile LibertySprint along the parade route! This is a fun way to kick off the 4th of July in Downtown Edmond. Registration begins at 7 a.m. ($10 per person) with a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. The parade will follow.

Who else is excited for the fantastic firework show at Hafer Park? Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. with a 30 minute light show. Watch the fireworks from Hafer Park, surrounding businesses, or Pelican Bay.
