The Obstacle Course Racing World Championships will be held this weekend in Cincinnati, OH. Want the FAQ details? Here they are:

Where: Cincinnati, Ohio and the Mud, Guts, & Glory venue has been selected as the inaugural host of the OCRWC. The race will take place on October 25-26, 2014, with Individual competition on the 25th and Team competition on the 26th.

How to qualify: Athletes can qualify to compete in the OCRWC based on his/her performance at specific Qualifying Races. Participants are required to provide proof of results at the time of registration. Entry into the OCRWC is limited issued to qualified athletes on a first come, first served basis. Spots will be limited. Please review our Qualifying Criteria and Qualifying Races for further info.

What were the selection criteria that resulted in this choice of date and venue? The mid-west racing community has demonstrated an unparalleled passion and ability to accommodate high quality racing events. Also, by selecting a venue with a permanent course and well demonstrated track record of successful events, OCRWC organizers have uninhibited access and nearly a year to develop, construct, and test a course worthy of a World Championship.

The age groupings are as follows:

  • Male: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50+
  • Female: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50+

Course Notes: The course will differ from the Mud, Guts and Glory course: The approximately eight-mile course will share some of the same terrain and obstacles as other MGG events, however a significant amount of the course and obstacles will be new to athletes with considerable portions being unveiled only on race weekend. OCRWC will be focused on designing a unique racing event that provides a world-class experience for both athletes and spectators.
