"After discussions with Notre Dame, Wake Forest and the ACC, the 2020 Duke’s Mayo Classic will now be played on December 12th,” said Danny Morrison, executive director of the Charlotte Sports Foundation. “We are grateful for the opportunity to play the Duke’s Mayo Classic later this season. There have been a lot of changing variables just in the past 24 hours. The most important thing that we should focus on is the fact that the COVID protocols implemented by the teams are working to ensure the safety of the participants. As we continue to follow the updated guidelines and advice of government and public health officials, we will announce additional information about the Duke’s Mayo Classic in the future.”
