Cary to Host ACC Soccer Action

Tickets for the 2018 ACC Men’s and Women’s Soccer Championships are now on sale. The semifinals and final of the Women’s Championship and the final of the Men’s Championship will be held at Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in Cary, North Carolina.
 
Both the semifinals and the final of the ACC Women’s Soccer Championship will be held at Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park – a longtime host of ACC events and the site of year’s NCAA Women’s College Cup. The semifinals will be played at 5:30 and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 2. The winners of the semifinals will advance to the ACC Championship match on Sunday, Nov. 4 at noon. The men’s final will be played the following weekend on Sunday, Nov. 11 at noon.
 
The earlier rounds of both championships will be played at campus sites. The ACC Women’s Soccer Championship begins with quarterfinal matches on Sunday, Oct. 28, while the ACC Men’s Soccer Championship gets underway on Wednesday, Oct. 31 with first-round games. The quarterfinals are set for Sunday, Nov. 4, followed by the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 7.
 
Single-day adult general admission tickets are $10. Admission is free for youth ages 18 and under and students of ACC institutions.

The ACC continues to be the home of the best college soccer in the country. Last year, the men matched their NCAA record with nine teams earning bids to the NCAA Tournament, while eight teams earned bids on the women’s side. Currently, there are seven ACC men’s teams and five ACC women’s teams ranked in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25.
