NAIA Announces Indoor Track & Field Open Bid

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is now accepting bids from potential hosts to bring the Men’s & Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships to your city! The NAIA is seeking a host for the 2021 & 2022 Indoor Track & Field Championships. This will be a two-year cycle of events through the 2021-2022 championship seasons.

The event includes the top 100 NAIA Men’s & Women’s Indoor Track & Field teams from across the nation. The NAIA Track & Field Championship is a three day event. All three days consist of a combination of field events in the afternoon and track events in the evening.

The selected host will have the opportunity to put on a student-athlete recognition banquet. Hosts may sell tickets to parents, fans, and members of their community. The Championships will bring teams and fans from across the country to enjoy all your city has to offer.

•         Dates: March 4-6, 2021 | March 3-5, 2022

Venue requirements: 200-meter, 6 or 8 lane straight away and 6 lane turns with appropriate surfacing.  Separate horizontal jumps and runway, pole vault runway, high jump area with same surface as track.  Throwing area must have protective cage and barriers.  PA system, award staging area and games committee staging area.  Finish Lynx Timing System and electronic scoreboard.  Seating outside the track area to accommodate at least 3,000 fans and athletes.  Separate warm-up and training area if possible. 

Estimated number of participants and fans: 1,100 Participants and 3,000 fans

Hotel requirements: Centralized properties capable of accommodating several meetings and a banquet for 200-250 people.

Room block: 600-650 Rooms

Rate: $90-$115

Rights Fee: $9,000 Minimum
