Building on its ongoing expansion of short-course racing across the globe, Supertri has confirmed the acquisition of two major mass participation events, the Blenheim Palace Triathlon in the UK and the New Jersey State Triathlon in the US.
This latest move is seen as part of the company’s strategy to build a global calendar of triathlon events. The two new acquisitions follow on from other deals struck earlier this year for events in Toronto, Canada, and the CapTex Triathlon and the Kerrville Triathlon in Texas, USA.
With the addition of the Blenheim Palace Triathlon, Supertri now owns two of the world’s five largest triathlons, alongside its existing Chicago Triathlon. The Chicago event saw a record 7,000 finishers this August.
The New Jersey State Triathlon acquisition builds on Supertri’s presence in North America, adding to its existing events in Chicago, Long Beach, Austin, Kerrville, and Toronto.
Michael D’hulst, Supertri Co-Founder and CEO, said “Our vision is to build the leading international brand for short-course triathlon – one that stands for quality, great race experiences, and strong community connections.
“Blenheim and New Jersey deliver exactly that and represent everything we want our brand to stand for.”
The Blenheim Palace Triathlon, which is the biggest triathlon in the UK, has been held for over two decades on a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Oxfordshire. The 2025 edition reportedly sold over 7,000 entries, with 33% of participants being first-timers.
The New Jersey State Triathlon, held at Mercer County Park, is one of the ten largest triathlons in the US. It has consistently sold out its 3,500 slots since its inception in 2006.
As part of Supertri’s acquisition, existing entrants for the 2026 Blenheim Palace and New Jersey State triathlons will have their entries automatically transferred.
Jonny Brownlee, a three-time Olympic medallist, said “Blenheim Triathlon is a fantastic event that I have been lucky enough to race and to win in the past. It’s one of the most iconic races in the UK… I’m delighted that Supertri has acquired the event.”
Michele Redrow, co-founder of the New Jersey State Triathlon, said “We’re excited to see the New Jersey State Triathlon join the Supertri family of high-quality events. We look forward to working closely with their team to ensure the race continues to deliver the unique elements that make it so special to the triathlon community.”
