World Sport Stacking Sets Date, Location for Summer Sports Fest

Concordia Gymnastic Society in St. Louis to be Venue

The World Sport Stacking Association (WSSA), which governs the competitive stacking of plastic cups, has announced the location for its June 8 St. Louis Open Summer Fun StackFest Tournament. The venue will be the Concordia Gymnastic Society, 4030 Connecticut Street, St. Louis Missouri.

The event will begin at 8 a.m. Information on registration or the event itself can be obtained from director Lisa Berman at 314-398-6839. The website for WSSA is http://www.thewssa.com/.

This is a sanctioned event, meaning world records can be set, and that qualifiers can attend the AAU Junior Olympics Games, considered the pinnacle of the sport stacking season. Qualifying stackers from across the country and around the world will have the opportunity to take part in this two-day event to be held at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan. 2013 marks the second year that Sport Stacking is included in the Games. Stackers will join athletes from 16 other sports in the annual AAU Junior Olympic Games.

Organizations interested in hosting other competitions should contact the WSSA website, then select the “Tournaments” tab from the top toolbar and then use the drop-down menu to find the “Hosting” option.
