Independence, Missouri, Selected to Host Ringside World Championships for Boxing

Event Expected to Draw 1,500 Athletes

Independence, Missouri Tourism has announced one of the year’s major boxing events, the July 31- August 3, 2013 Ringside World Championship. The hosting venue is the Independence Events Center, 19100 E. Valley View Parkway.

This unique spectacle draws athletes from around the globe and provides a competitive opportunity second to none. With six rings, seven sessions, 1,200 bouts and 1,500 athlete entries, it's a boxing extravaganza that can't be missed.

Independence, Missouri Tourism notes that times and ticket prices have not yet been set. When available, tickets will be sold through Silverstein Eye Centers Box Office at Independence Events Center or all Ticketmaster locations including Ticketmaster.com or call 1-800-745-3000.
