World Curling is pleased to announce that the Iron Trail Motors Event Center in Virginia, Minnesota, United States will host the 2025 edition of the Pan Continental Curling Championships A-Division. Meanwhile, the Pan Continental Curling Championships 2025 B-Division will take place at the Curl Mesabi complex in Eveleth, Minnesota.

Both events will take place between 19 – 26 October 2025.

Virgina and Eveleth are adjacent cities located in the Mesabi Iron Range in the northeast of Minnesota.

The Iron Trail Motors Event Center, which first opened in 2021, is an ice arena and events centre, boasting two ice rinks, a fitness centre and a 6,400 square foot ballroom. The ice arena can accommodate up to 2,000 spectators.

Curl Mesabi opened in 1998 and was formed through the merging of Virginia Lenont Curling Club, Gilbert Curling Club and Eveleth Curling Club and is part of the Range Recreation Civic Center. This is not the first time Eveleth has held a World Curling event, as they hosted the World Junior Curling Championships in 2007.

Eeva Roethlisberger, World Curling’s Head of Competitions, said, “We look forward to hosting the Pan Continental Curling Championships 2025 in Virginia and Eveleth, Minnesota later this year.

“This is an important event for all teams involved, as they look to qualify for the World Men’s and Women’s Championships that will be some of the first events to be held after the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games.”

Dean Gemmell, USA Curling CEO, said, “We’re thrilled to bring this important international event to the Iron Range, and we couldn’t do it without the support of the Department of Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation.”

Ida Rukavina, Commissioner of Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation, said, “We’re proud to partner with USA and World Curling to welcome the Pan Continental Curling Championships to the Iron Range — an event that not only delivers significant economic benefits to our local businesses and hospitality sector, but also reflects the deep cultural roots and international spirit of our region.

“Curling is a long-standing tradition on the Iron Range, enjoyed for generations — first brought here by Scottish immigrants who embraced the cold winters of northern Minnesota, playing on frozen lakes and passing the game down through the years. Today, it continues to bring people of all backgrounds together, just as it did from the very beginning.”

Tim Walz, Governor of Minnesota, said, “The Iron Range is the perfect place for the Pan Continental Curling Championships. Minnesota is the number one state for curling with nearly 40 curling clubs, thousands of passionate winter athletes, and an abundance of ice.

“Thank you to everyone at World Curling, USA Curling, and the Department of Iron Range Resources & Rehabilitation for bringing this exciting event to the North Star State.”
