SportsEngine Play, the fast-growing youth and amateur sports video streaming platform, has entered into a multi-year partnership with Canes Midwest, making it the official streaming partner for one of the largest youth baseball organizations in the U.S.
The partnership marks another important milestone for SportsEngine Play as it continues to make a substantial impact in the youth and amateur sports industry, particularly in club and travel baseball. Through the agreement, SportsEngine Play will bring livestreaming capabilities to Canes Midwest's extensive lineup of baseball and softball games played at its Brownsburg, Ind., sports complex, offering a high-quality viewing experience for fans, families, and scouts across the U.S.
The streaming action hosted by Canes Midwest will be captured by DoublePlay, the world’s first automated, multi-camera production configuration designed specifically for baseball by SportsEngine partner, Pixellot, a world leader in AI-automated sports production. DoublePlay, also used by the MLB Draft League, provides coverage of all the action from both batter and pitcher’s side of the field, offering a TV-like experience live or on-demand.
“SportsEngine Play’s exclusive partnership with Canes Midwest will showcase the best in youth baseball to the families and fans of teams traveling from towns across the U.S. to compete at the Canes Midwest’s complex, which hosts more than 2,000 games each year,” said Nick Busto, Vice President of Video Operations for SportsEngine. “We’re excited to collaborate with Canes Midwest as they continue their journey to enrich the baseball experience for young athletes both on and off the field.”
Canes Midwest, known for its commitment to player development, has established itself as one of the premier travel baseball and softball organizations in the region. As an affiliate of Diamond Allegiance, the club shares the mission to improve player development, provide more career opportunities for coaches, reduce costs for players and families, and increase participation in underserved communities. Serving athletes from ages 7-18, Canes Midwest focuses on building lasting relationships with athletes and their families, guiding them through their journey. With a track record of success, Canes Midwest has sent more than 150 players to collegiate baseball programs since 2020, in addition to multiple draft picks.
"We are excited to partner with SportsEngine Play to provide our athletes, families, and fans with an enhanced viewing experience," said Chris McManus, General Manager of Canes Midwest. "This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing top-tier resources and support for our players."
The Canes Midwest Sports Complex currently boasts four fields with lights, irrigation, and eight state-of-the-art batting cages. The complex will undergo significant upgrades in 2025, including new turf on all four diamonds, ensuring an enhanced experience for athletes, coaches, and spectators. In addition, it has entered into a long-term lease agreement with USSSA Indiana Baseball, further cementing the complex’s role as a key hub for regional baseball and softball tournaments.
