Since 2004, the Great American Rivalry Series® (GARS) has showcased premier high school football rivalries across the United States, honoring exceptional athletes and decades of hard-fought competition.

Over the past 21 seasons, the Series has activated classic matchups in 47 states, supporting local communities while leaving a lasting mark on the game. That impact has extended beyond Friday nights, with GARS alumni going on to produce 58 NFL athletes and represent six Super Bowl championships. Now, the tradition of rivalry expands to the basketball court.

The Great American Rivalry Series ® Basketball builds on the tradition established by GARS and brings the same commitment to honoring competition, community, and school pride into high school gyms across the country.

The GARS Basketball Series will spotlight historic basketball rivalries, celebrate student-athletes, and elevate the game-day experience for schools and fans alike, while maintaining the standards and recognition that have defined GARS for more than two decades.

The inaugural basketball season tips off with Perry Hall vs. Parkville, just outside of Baltimore, Maryland, on February 11, marking the first of many classic rivalries to be featured on the court. The game will be played at Perry Hall High School.
