Team Canada will play the defending Paralympic Gold Medalists Team Germany in two Women's Wheelchair Basketball exhibition games. Dates for the events will be Thursday May 15, 2014 at 7 p.m. and Friday May 16, 2014, 10 a.m.

The venue will be Investors Group Athletic Center, University of Manitoba, 75 Sidney Smith St in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

The Team Canada women's national wheelchair basketball team is in Winnipeg training for the 2014 World Championships being held in Toronto June 20-28.

The Manitoba Wheelchair Sport Association (MWSA) was established as a means of contributing to and providing incentive for, the total development of physically disabled persons by presenting them with opportunities to participate in a variety of recreational activities and wheelchair sport programs.

The MWSA is unique in the fact that we are the only organization that provides these kinds of sport related opportunities and programs. The Manitoba Wheelchair Sport Association began in 1962 as the Monday Night Club with assistance from the Canadian Paraplegic Association, the Manitoba Rehabilitation Hospital and The Society for Crippled Children and Adults. In 1969, the Club expanded into a Provincial Organization with its own constitution. Today, members from every part of Manitoba form a strong active and self-governing association.
