The snow is almost gone, and that means it is time for Spring Flag football.
Manitoba’s oldest and largest flag football league is set to begin with its kickoff on Friday, April 24th, Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th at Princess Auto Stadium. This year will be the largest ever, with over 2300 players set to hit the field.
Games will begin at 6pm on Friday and 8am on Saturday and Sunday, with the last games starting at 9pm each day. It is going to be a fantastic few days of football fun, with the most flag football players ever at one place in the province. Come watch the next generation of flag football athletes start their journey toward a potential Olympic Gold Medal in the fastest growing sport in North America.
The W Flag Spring Football League is a joint venture between the Winnipeg Football Club and Football Manitoba. The league features players from the ages of 6 to 17, with teams from all over Winnipeg and surrounding areas. The league has grown exponentially in the past few years, jumping from 1600 players in 2023 to now over 2300 players in 2026.
