Maine Sports Commission Looks Ahead to Marathons, Cycling, Senior Games and More

The Maine Sports Commission has listed a calendar of events for 2022.

Hincapie Cycling is coming to Maine! George Hincapie, whose career includes crossing the Tour de France finish line 17 times, founded Hincapie Cycling. Their team selected Bangor for their Gran Fondo ride with 15, 50 and 80 mile routes. MSC thanks

Kerrie Tripp, Executive Director, Greater Bangor CVB, founding Board member of MSC, who assembled community partners to welcome Hincapie August 6, 2022 through August, 2024.

August 5 - 7, 2022! Produced by the New England Mountain Bike Association (NEMBA), this is a celebration of summer and ALL THINGS mountain biking! Sugarloaf will be sharing more details as the family-friendly weekend plans are finalized.

Maine Senior Games has a full calendar set for 2022. Their mission is to provide athletic events and wellness opportunities to improve the health and fitness of people 45 and over. Who knows - you may find yourself competing at National Senior Games, May 2022!
