The 2020 NWBA Toyota Adult and Junior Wheelchair Basketball National Championships – expected to bring 96 wheelchair basketball teams from across the country to Wichita, including some of the best wheelchair basketball athletes in the world – is being hosted by Visit Wichita, and will take place next month at Wichita Hoops.
The event is open to the public, but all non-team (or credentialed) attendees must purchase a ticket to attend. Discounted tickets are now on sale at 2020nwbt.eventbrite.com. The deadline to pre-order tickets and take advantage of early-bird pricing is 11:59 p.m. MT on March 5.
The following national tournaments will be played:
- National Adult Division I Wheelchair Basketball Tournament: March 12-14
- National Adult Division II Wheelchair Basketball Tournament: March 12-14
- National Adult Division III Wheelchair Basketball Tournament: March 12-14
- National Varsity Wheelchair Basketball Tournament: March 13-15
- National Varsity Invitational Wheelchair Basketball Tournament: March 13-15
- National Prep Wheelchair Basketball Tournament: March 13-15
Wichita has hosted large-scale wheelchair basketball competitions in the past. From 2014 to 2018, the American Collegiate Society for Adaptive Athletics hosted The Wheelchair Basketball Bash in Wichita. Due to the success of this event, and the local following that was developed for the sport, Wichita was awarded the 2020 and 2021 Toyota Intercollegiate Division Men’s and Women’s National Tournaments.

Ticket Information: All session tickets are valid for entry for the entire event, while single session tickets are valid for a single day. Pre-Sale Ticket prices are as follows:
- Adults - $26.00
- Children (ages 11-18) - $10.00
- Children 10 and under free
- Adults - $15.00
- Children (ages 11-18) - $7.00
- Children 10 and under free
All pre-sale tickets will be available for pick-up the day of the event at Wichita Hoops. Entry tickets will also be sold on-site during the events at Wichita Hoops. The ticket prices on-site will be $32 for adult All Session; $19 for adult Single Session ($10 with Kansas driver’s license); $12 for children All Session; $10 children Single Session; Children 10 and under are free.
Event Details: The 2020 NWBA Toyota Adult Division I, II and III Wheelchair Basketball National Championships will take place March 12-14. These national tournaments will be included 16 teams from each of the Adult Divisions.
The 2020 NWBA Toyota Prep and Varsity Wheelchair Basketball National Championships will then be held March 13-15. The 2020 NWBA Toyota Varsity Invitational Wheelchair Basketball Tournament will also be held from March 13-15. These national tournaments will include 16 teams at the Prep level of play and 32 teams at the Varsity level of play in the Junior Division.
The top 16 ranked teams for each Adult Division (I, II, III) will earn an invite to their respective divisions’ national tournament. A total of 48 teams from the three Adult Divisions will battle it out for a coveted national title during this event.
The top 16 ranked teams for Varsity level of play in the Junior Division will earn an invite to compete in the National Varsity Wheelchair Basketball Tournament, based on their performance throughout the season. Varsity teams ranked 17-32 will receive an invite to participate in the National Varsity Invitational Wheelchair Basketball Tournament. The top 16 ranked teams from Prep earn an invitation to participate in the National Prep Wheelchair Basketball Tournament.
