The Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships are returning to Des Moines, Iowa, July 25-28, 2019. The best track and field athletes in the country will compete at Drake University’s Drake Stadium on a quest to qualify for Team USATF at the 2019 IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar. The four-day meet is the final stop of the 2019 USATF Outdoor Championship Series and will be broadcast on the NBC family of networks and webcast on NBC Sports Gold.

Tickets are available now at Draketix.com/USATF, including all-session (Thursday - Sunday) and single session. Youth (ages 3-18) and students (with a valid college student ID) may purchase $10 General Admission tickets online or on-site on event day. Offer valid Friday-Sunday sessions.

“Building on the excitement of 2018, we look forward to another year of bringing the community together and watching Olympians and future Olympians compete at the classic Blue Oval,” said Catch Des Moines President & CEO Greg Edwards. “The caliber of this event continues to establish Greater Des Moines as a track and field hub. We received such positive response in 2018 for the ‘Midwest hospitality’ felt by athletes, coaches and fans – our goal is to continue that tradition in July.”

The 2010 and 2013 USATF Championships at Drake University provided a bevy of memorable moments, and 2018’s edition was another smashing success. Last year, athletes set one American record (DeAnna Price - women’s hammer throw), three world leads (Noah Lyles - men’s 100m, Maria Michta-Coffey - women’s 20k race walk and DeAnna Price - women’s hammer throw), two USATF Championship records (Keturah Orji - women’s triple jump, Maria Michta-Coffey - women’s 20,000m race walk) and 13 Drake Stadium records over the course of four days.

Drake has hosted the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in 1970 (men only), 2008, 2011, and 2012, and annually hosts the Drake Relays, which in 2019 will celebrate its 110th year.

“Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for athletes as they compete on the historic Blue Oval and for the coaches and fans who come to support them,” said Director of the Drake Relays Blake Boldon. “This is a fantastic opportunity to have elite athletes and university coaches in town to showcase what we have to offer.”
