The Quad Cities “QC” is your regional destination for sports. Positioned on the Mississippi River, we are a dynamic bi-state (Iowa/Illinois) family of communities of nearly 500,000 Quad Citizens ready to serve and deliver as your host and partner.
As the official sports commission of the region, Sports QC Powered by Visit Quad Cities is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to attracting, hosting, and enhancing sporting events of all levels. Rich in sports history and evolving daily, the Quad Cities is the largest metropolitan area on the upper Mississippi River between St. Louis and Minneapolis. We are centrally located within a six-hour drive of 37 million people, and we’re accessible, affordable, and experienced.
Our sports pride runs deep, as does our competitive spirit and passion for play. We know how to compete, manage, and organize events thanks to decades of hosting experience and strong partnerships with our local colleges and universities—Augustana College, St. Ambrose University, Black Hawk College, Western Illinois University-Quad Cities Campus, and Eastern Iowa Community Colleges—as well as with our professional teams: the Quad Cities River Bandits, Quad City Storm, and Quad City Steamwheelers.
Our community values sports of all types and at every skill level; from youth and amateur to collegiate, professional, and recreational. Outcomes tell the story. Just ask the PGA TOUR, which has recognized the Quad Cities, home of the John Deere Classic, as the most engaged community on the circuit. At Sports QC, we’re proud of our momentum—and we’re just getting started.
