Rockford Announces New, Re-Elected Board Members

The Rockford Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (RACVB) Board of Directors and RACVB Charitable Foundation Board of Directors announce the recent election of new officers and board members, and the reappointment and re-election of continuing board members.
The RACVB board elected the following individuals to serve a one-year term as officers of the board:
- Jennifer Furst, chair
- Todd Cagnoni, vice chair
- Tim Myers, treasurer
- Einar Forsman, secretary
Jennifer Furst is president of Furst Staffing, Todd Cagnoni is city administrator with the City of Rockford, Tim Myers is vice president/general manager of WIFR-TV and Einar Forsman is president & CEO of Rockford Chamber of Commerce.
“I am excited about and grateful for the opportunity to chair the RACVB board. We have a dynamic group of volunteers and representatives serving on the board providing the strategic focus for the organization,” said Jennifer Furst, RACVB board chair. “Positively influencing tourism in the Rockford area creates a positive impact on the economic landscape of Rockford while improving the quality of life for our residents. We have a wonderful community to promote and share.”
Outgoing board chair, David Anderson, member of the founding family of Anderson Japanese Gardens, will remain on the board as immediate past chair and serve as chair of the RACVB Charitable Foundation Board. Bobbie Holzwarth, Bill LaFever and Marco Lenis each served their six-year term on the RACVB board and will remain on the RACVB Charitable Foundation Board.
Five individuals have recently joined the RACVB board for a three-year term.
- Mike Nelson, president, Valley Expo Displays
- Noel Nickel, vice president of strategy and business development, SwedishAmerican – Lake Peterson House
- John Penney, business representative/organizer, Painters District Council No. 30, Local 607
- Carol Schuster, assistant dean of operations, University of Illinois College of Medicine Rockford
- Darrell Snorek, vice president, LaMonica Beverages
Kevin Frost, 4th ward alderman, City of Rockford and principal/officer, Clark Frost Williams Zucchi has been reappointed by Mayor Tom McNamara, City of Rockford, and confirmed by the RACVB Board. Bryan Davis, director of government affairs and contracts, SupplyCore, has been re-elected by the RACVB Board.
