From international athletic competitions to pop culture fandom and collector expos, the Schaumburg Convention Center is set to welcome thousands of visitors this July for a diverse lineup of events that highlight our region’s position as one of the Midwest's premier meetings and event destinations. Throughout the month, attendees from across the country and around the world will travel to Schaumburg, generating overnight stays and supporting local hotels, restaurants, and businesses. Meet Chicago Northwest welcomes these visitors and looks forward to showcasing all the region has to offer.

The month kicks off with BotCon, the original fan convention dedicated to the Transformers universe, taking place July 10–12. Fans can enjoy celebrity guest appearances, voice actor panels, cosplay, exclusive merchandise, artist alley, and interactive programming celebrating one of the world's most iconic entertainment franchises.

From July 15–19, the World Tang Soo Do Association World Championships will bring martial artists, instructors, families, and spectators from around the globe to Schaumburg, Illinois. The international championship serves as one of the organization's premier events and is expected to generate more than 1,400 hotel room nights and an estimated $1.2 million in economic impact for the region.

Closing out the month, SoCo Expo arrives July 30–August 2, bringing together soccer card enthusiasts, trading card game players, collectors, exhibitors, and vendors. Since its launch, SoCo events have attracted attendees from more than 40 countries, reflecting the organization's growing international audience.

"The diversity of events coming to Schaumburg this July reflects the strength and versatility of our destination," said Heather Larson, President & CEO of Meet Chicago Northwest. "Whether welcoming international athletes, passionate fan communities, or specialty collectors, these events generate meaningful economic impact while giving visitors the opportunity to experience our hotels, restaurants, attractions, and hospitality throughout the Chicago Northwest region."
