DuPage County Counts Down to Presidents Cup

The countdown is on: less than a year remains until Presidents Cup, taking place September 22–27, 2026, on newly designed Course #3 at Medinah Country Club. Brandt Snedeker, who is a nine-time PGA TOUR winner including the 2012 TOUR Championship and FedEx Cup, will captain the U.S. Team. Geoff Ogilvy, who has eight PGA TOUR titles including the 2006 U.S. Open plus wins at the Australian PGA and Australian Open, will lead the International Team.

Following last month’s U.S. defeat to Europe at the 45th Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black, will the U.S. Team make any changes? In an interesting twist, it was Ogilvy’s architecture firm which he co-founded, OCM Design, that planned the extensive redesign of Course #3 in 2023. With intimate knowledge of its design, will that give the International Team an edge?

As part of its charitable mission, Presidents Cup gifted the newly opened DuPage County Crisis Recovery Center — a one-of-a-kind facility providing mental health and addiction crisis services to adults and youth — with a $250,000 contribution on September 16, 2025. Pictured: PGA TOUR 2026 Presidents Cup Executive Director Joie Chitwood presenting the check to DuPage County Chair Deb Conroy, alongside County Board Members, DuPage County Health Department execs, Medinah Country Club delegation, the DuPage CVB/Sports Commission and other community leaders.
