The Rome Tennis Center at Berry College will serve as the host site of the ITA Cup for the next three years, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), announced on Monday.

The ITA Cup serves as an individual national championship for NCAA Division II and III, NAIA and Junior College men and women and has been held in Rome, Georgia since 2017.

The new agreement will enable the ITA Cup to remain in Rome through 2021 with the 2019 event scheduled for Oct. 17-20. Future dates are October 15-18, 2020 and October 14-17, 2021.

A new format will also be implemented in 2019 as the singles draw sizes have been increased from eight to 16 for NCAA Division II, III and NAIA. The draw sizes will remain at eight for NAIA doubles and Junior College singles and doubles.

ITA Cup divisional singles winners and doubles champions will receive wild cards into the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships scheduled for Nov. 6-10 in Newport Beach, California. The ITA National Fall Championships is the only ITA national event that features individuals from all five divisions.

The ITA Cup format guarantees at least three matches for all competitors.
