IMG 7v7 Central Regional Championship to be Played

This weekend, hundreds of elite football players and their families will head to Knoxville for the 2013 IMG7v7 Central Regional Championship at the US Cellular Complex, June 1 and 2.

This is the first year IMG has hosted the Central Regional Championship in Knoxville. For more than 30 years, IMG's world-renowned coaches and training programs have shaped the athletic landscape by helping countless athletes succeed at the youth, high school, collegiate and professional levels.

“We are excited to welcome some of the top football players in the country to Knoxville,” said Kim Bumpas, President of Visit Knoxville. “This event features some of the best football skill players in the U.S, and we look forward to showing the participants, their families, friends, coaches, and fans all that Knoxville has to offer.”

Teams competed in several qualifying tournaments from around the Central/Mid-Atlantic region, including Knoxville’s Next Level Training 7v7 Tournament back in April. The top performers received invitations to compete this weekend at the IMG7v7 Central Regional Championship.

The top four finalists at the IMG7v7 Central Regional Championship qualify to compete at the IMG7v7 National Championship in Bradenton, Florida, June 21-23, 2013.

The event kicks-off this Saturday at 2:00pm and will run until 6:00pm. Play will continue with a double elimination tournament bracket on Sunday from 9:00am until 2:00pm. Admission is free.
