The Gwinnett Sports Commission has listed its calendar of events for spring. More events are being added; those interested are encouraged to check http://www.gcvb.org/sportscommission/about.cfm

Gwinnett Braves: The Gwinnett Braves have a great schedule. With sixteen home games in the month of May, there are plenty of opportunities to catch a game.  There are special promotions and events happening at almost every game so get the family and head out to Coolray Field.  You can take a look at their schedule and grab some tickets from our website (http://www.gcvb.org/sports/calendar-of-events/?eViewBy=month&e_sDate=05-30-2013&e_sortBy=eventDate)

Gentle Yoga: This outdoor yoga session will be a calming way to release any stress in your life.  The class is scheduled to take place at Rhodes Jordan Park from 9:00-10:00am on May 4th.  Taking part in yoga is a great way to create a peaceful mentality and we're so proud that Gwinnett offers classes.  Instructors are well versed in the art of yoga so come out and find your center.  Visit our calendar (http://www.gcvb.org/includes/events/index.cfm?action=displayDetail&eventid=12400) for more information.

Light Up the Corners: Grab everything you own that lights up, flashes, blinks, or glows in the dark get ready for the Light Up the Corners 1K and 4mile run!  The 1K starts at 8:00pm and the 4mile run begins at 9:00pm, both starting lines are at the Forum in Peachtree Corners.  That's right, it will be pitch dark.  Contests will be held for the "glowiest" men, women, boys, girls, and teams.  See our site (http://www.gcvb.org/includes/events/index.cfm?action=displayDetail&eventid=12364) for more details on childcare, awards, and race details!

Drift Atlanta: This feature event will take place at Road Atlanta on Friday May 10th and Saturday May 11th.  Drifting is a high-powered motor sport that challenges the driver to slide at a high speed...sideways.  It's an intense  event to watch and it is judged on style and execution of the drift.  Did we mention there will be a vendor village?  Plenty of food and drink to go around!  Check out our site for more information!
