The 2017 PDGA Professional Disc Golf World Championships will be held in Augusta, GA at Fort Gordon on the newly-installed Marine/Navy disc golf course, and on the W.R. Jackson course at the International Disc Golf Center, located in Wildwood Park in Appling, GA.

The tournament, held June 21-24, is sanctioned by the Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA). The PDGA is the international governing body for the sport of disc golf and sanctions well over 3,000 tournaments in 49 states and 27 countries each year for professional and amateur disc golfers.

"We are very excited to host the 2017 PDGA World Championships," says Shelly Blackburn, Executive Director of the Columbia County CVB. "This is a great opportunity for us to showcase the best Columbia County has to offer the participants and spectators of the tournament."
